Our 5-Point “Condition Guarantee” Inspection Every shipping container added to our inventory undergoes a thorough manual inspection by our team before it is made available for sale. Our inspection process is designed to verify that each unit meets the condition and grade represented in its listing. We evaluate the following five key areas: Structural Integrity — We inspect the container’s walls, corner posts, frame, and major structural components for significant damage, deformation, or other concerns. Roof & Weather Protection — We examine the roof and exterior panels for holes, openings, excessive corrosion, or conditions that could compromise protection from the elements. Doors, Seals & Locking Hardware — Doors, hinges, locking rods, handles, and rubber seals are checked to ensure proper operation and condition. Floor Condition — The interior flooring is inspected for excessive wear, damage, moisture-related deterioration, or other issues that may affect normal use. Interior & Exterior Condition — We conduct a complete visual inspection of the interior and exterior, including signs of water intrusion, major dents, rust, contamination, or other conditions relevant to the container’s advertised grade. Our commitment: We aim to ensure that every container is accurately represented, properly inspected, and delivered in accordance with its advertised condition and grade.
- WWT (Wind & Watertight): Inspected to ensure the container is free from significant holes or openings that could allow normal wind or water intrusion. Each unit undergoes a visual inspection and light test of panels and seals.
- CW (Cargo Worthy): Structurally sound containers that meet applicable requirements for cargo transportation and are suitable for heavy-duty storage and stacking, subject to the container’s specific certification and condition.
- One-Trip (New): Factory-new containers that have typically been manufactured overseas and transported to the United States once. These units generally feature minimal handling, excellent structural condition, and a valid CSC safety plate where applicable.
- Structural Floor Check: Container flooring is inspected for structural integrity, excessive wear, moisture damage, and other conditions that could affect normal weight-bearing use. Flooring specifications may vary by container model and manufacturer.
